ASME Code Work Founded in 1880, ASME created codes and standards for all boilers and pressure vessels, reducing possible major boiler failures. ASME set standards that each state has adopted as law for safety purposes. In the state of Texas, ASME regulations were placed into law by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation for all Texas boiler welders. Tigert Company strives to continue to meet and surpass these regulations, using their highly trained technicians to repair, replace, and install boiler systems. Tigert Company uses ASME stamps including “R”, “S,” “PP” and “U” upon completion of boiler repairs, installation, and replacement. When performing ASME Code work on power boilers and pressure vessels, the ASME stamp “R” is used. Fabricating and assembling boilers, boiler components and pressure piping on power boilers receives an “S” stamp of approval upon completion. Fabrication of new piping systems receives the stamp “PP” and “U” is stamped when pressure vessels are unfired. Tigert Company repairs boilers, pressure vessels, and burners, meeting all standards set by ASME. ASME Code work is used upon completion of an installed, replaced, or inspected boiler and burner. Signed by an authorized ASME inspector, Tigert Company offers a copy of an ASME report along with an invoice upon request. Safety remains at the forefront of all work completed by Tigert Company, knowing there is no room for mistakes. Having more than 40 years of experience, Tigert boiler mechanics have the knowledge to complete the work safely and efficiently. |
